About Kellan
I grew up in Texas in a house with one unspoken rule: you do not talk about how you feel, and you never give anyone a reason to pity you.
My father, Cap, was a working man who built a lawn care business from a push mower and a beat-up pickup into more than 180 trucks and 300 employees. He was always out on our boat, tinkering. My mother, Muffy, ran our home with a force that never needed announcing. I lost two brothers, one in a car accident and one in a war zone, and I learned early to carry things quietly.
As a child I dressed my Barbies and sat them down for meetings. I watched cartoon executives and knew exactly what I wanted. My first job was waiting tables, where I learned to smile and put my best foot forward no matter what.
My mentor, Mandee Woodard, has believed in me since college. She trusted me with our family office's first branded acquisition, an extended stay hotel, and I have been in hospitality ever since. Today I am President & CEO of the Neyius Hotel Collection, where we restore castles, manor homes and palaces into destinations.
I am a mother. Away from work you will find me in spin class, on a yoga mat, running, or traveling somewhere I have to figure out, with soulful music playing, the kind where you can hear every word is true.
